ADM to build new soybean processing plant

CHICAGO, ILLLINOIS, US — Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) on May 10 announced it will build North Dakota’s first-ever dedicated soybean crushing plant and refinery to meet fast-growing demand from food, feed, industrial and biofuel customers, including producers of renewable diesel.

Based in Spiritwood, North Dakota, US, the approximately $350 million crush and refining complex will feature state-of-the-art automation technology and have the capacity to process 150,000 bushels of soybeans per day.

Ocrim to build new lines for North Dakota Mill

GRAND FORKS, NORTH DAKOTA, US — Ocrim will build two new milling plants and revamp an existing one for North Dakota Mill.

The H mill, for durum wheat processing, will have a capacity of 360 tpd while the I mill, for hard wheat, will have a capacity of 250 tpd.

For the existing 250-tpd D mill, a conversion from durum wheat to hard and soft wheat is foreseen, with an increase in capacity and the integration of the latest machines from Ocrim.

ADM unveils new supply chain initiative in the UK

LONDON, ENGLAND — ADM on Feb. 2 unveiled a new supply chain initiative in which the company’s UK origination business, ADM Agriculture Ltd., will become the sole supplier for ADM Milling’s Tilbury site beginning with the 2021 wheat harvest.

Ocrim supplies mill in Burkina Faso

CREMONA, ITALY — Ocrim has supplied a new 600-tpd flour mill in Burkina Faso to SBCI Industrie, which is part of Groupe Hajjar.

The mill will produce two types of flour: boulangerie, for baking, and patisserie or beignet, with a low ash content, for pastry or special applications.
