Bühler to build oat mill for Suomen Viljava

UZWIL, SWITZERLAND — Bühler will build a new oat mill from Suomen Viljava in Finland.

Installation of the mill will start in September 2022 with operations starting in 2023. In addition to groats and flakes, the mill will produce oat hulls pellets for the Baltic rim countries’ feed and biofuel markets.

Tom Kice honored at NAMA annual meeting

BOCA RATON, FLA. – Tom Kice, retired president and chief executive officer of Kice Industries, has been elected an honorary member of the North American Millers’ Association. Bushel acquires ADM-Cargill JV GrainBridge

FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA, US — Bushel, an independently owned software technology company focused on developing solutions for the grain supply chain, has acquired GrainBridge, LLC, a joint venture owned by Chicago, Illinois, US-based ADM and Minneapolis, Minnesota, US-based Cargill. USDA pegs Sept. 1 wheat stocks at 1.8 billion bushels

WASHINGTON, DC, US – The US Department of Agriculture on Sept. 30, in its quarterly Grain Stocks report, estimated stocks of wheat held in all positions in the United States on Sept. 1, 2021, at 1.80 billion bushels, down 377.887 million bushels, or 18%, from 2.158 billion bushels a year ago. USDA lowers all-wheat crop estimate to 1.646 billion bushels

WASHINGTON, DC, US — The US Department of Agriculture on Sept. 30, in its Small Grains 2021 Summary, estimated the 2021 US all-wheat crop at 1.646 billion bushels, down 51.041 million bushels from the most recent previous forecast made in the USDA’s August Crop Production report and down 182.279 million bushels, or 10%, from 1.828 billion bushels in 2020. Bühler joins others in pilot plant for cultured meat

UZWIL, SWITZERLAND — Givaudan, Bühler, and Migros have formed a new entity, The Cultured Food Innovation Hub, in Kemptthal near Zurich, to accelerate the development and market penetration of cellular agriculture products. The Hub is expected to start operations in 2022.
