Ocrim’s Antolini pens book following journey of wheat to bread

CREMONA, ITALY — Sergio Antolini, president of Ocrim S.p.A. and chief executive officer of Paglierani S.r.l., will present on May 16 his new book “Argonauta” that follows the journey from wheat to bread.

It is divided into four acts, reminiscent of a classical theatrical experience, and follows the path of wheat through the biological aspects, the historical contexts, the symbolic and cultural contributions.

KCS switches course, now calls CN offer ‘superior proposal’

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI, US — Kansas City Southern (KCS) on May 13 said its board of directors has determined that Canadian National Railway’s (CN) proposal to acquire the business is a “company superior proposal” to one originally put forth by Canadian Pacific (CP) on March 21. Russia wheat output expected to fall in 2021-22

MOSCOW, RUSSIA – Russia’s wheat production for marketing year 2021-22 is forecast to decline by 9% as poor weather in recent months has reduced yield prospects, according to a May 13 Global Agricultural Information Network report from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA).
