Ardent Mills expands Organic Initiative 2019 program

DENVER, COLORADO, U.S. — In December 2015, Ardent Mills unveiled plans to help U.S. wheat growers double organic wheat acres by 2019. USDA: Russia to become the world’s largest wheat exporter

WASHINGTON, D.C., U.S. — Russia is expected to be the world’s largest exporter of wheat in 2016-17, which, if realized, would mark the first time the nation has achieved the feat.

In its World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) issued Aug. 12, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) forecast Russia’s exports in 2016-17 at a record 30 million tonnes, reflecting a sharp increase in expected production.

Buhler, KSU offer executive milling course

MANHATTAN, KANSAS, U.S. — Bühler and Kansas State University (KSU) are offering an executive milling course Nov. 14-18 at KSU in Manhattan, Kansas, U.S.

The course will focus on understanding the underlying principle of the milling process and the parameters that can be influenced by either the raw material or the milling system.
